Shradh/memorial service of Elephant on Wildlife Week Initiation

The Green Guard Nature Organization launched the Wildlife Week 2013 by arranging a Shradh or memorial service for the tusker found dead on September 25 with a bullet wound and tusks, ears and a part of the trunk hacked off along with fringe forest communities living with Human-Elephant-Conflict at the Karbi foothills along the Nagaon- Karbi Anglong border. The theme of Sanctuary Asia's 'Leave Me Alone' campaign was used to convey the message that these magnificent creatures only need space and undisturbed habitats to survive. Sanctuary Asia Tiger Defender Dulu Bora made the entire arrangements to sensitize these communities about nature conservation.
