Green Guard Nature Organization, in association with the Forest Department, local organizations Protibha Bikash Gusthi, Saonthal Students Union, Sankari Kristee Bikash Kendra, Chapanala Jubak Sangha, Green Gold Tea Growers, Xuoroni CLub, Oriental Model English School and Chapanala H.S. School organized a cleanliness drive at the Champawati picnic spot at Chapanala, Nagaon, today. Twelve large wooden containers donated by these organizations were installed around the picnic area. The most popular picnic spot, close to the Swang R.F., is known for its scenic beauty but picnickers litter the area every weekend. The local organizations have made arrangements with the committee managing the area to have the litter separated and recycled.
